On this page I’ve gathered all the stories I’ve published here on Strike A Spark. I hope you enjoy reading!
The Storm: Inspired by the DailyPrompt “Grey,” this story was a lot of fun to write.
Rainsong, Puppies > Chocolate, and Aria’s Request: A few haiku I wrote with Cloud for fun. I encourage you to check out her haiku too!
Someday: A Poem : “Someday” always comes. I hope your “someday” is a good one.
These super-short pieces are a joy and a challenge to write! The trick – and the difficulty – is to fit a story into 150 words or less.
A Note about “Mondays Finish the Story”
Several of these flash fictions were prompted by the Mondays Finish the Story project, which was run by the late Barbara W. Beacham, who provided photos as well as a sentence to start the story off right. Though I only participated in the challenge a few times, Barb’s positivity & beautiful photos are still an inspiration to me. She will be missed.
Mondays Finish the Story: Painting: A trio of musicians find themselves trapped in a painting.
Mondays Finish the Story: What Will the Neighbors Think?: An impetuous explorer and her sister argue over her latest souvenirs.
Mondays Finish the Story: A Mind Made of Memories: The old typewriter had its own stories to tell.
