watch the sand slip by
try to catch it, uselessly
turn the hourglass

No matter how we try, we can’t stop time. Instead of looking back hopelessly at time that is already spent, we can turn the hourglass and look forward to the future. ⏳

That is an excellent description of how time feels sometimes for sure.😏😁

I have absolutely no clue what Haiku’s are all about (ahhh right? haha) anyways, the fact that this touched me and made me think is great enough I guess! 🙂 Wonderful words dear River!

Thank you, I’m glad you like it! (^u^)
Haiku are a poems with simple rules:
1.) There are three lines.
2.) The first and third line are five syllables.
3. ) The second line is seven syllables.
So it goes: 5-7-5 syllables.
I like how simple the rules are, so I write haiku a lot! (^u^)
